Greetings. Thanks for stopping by! You've entered a major construction zone, with lots of broken pieces. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we continue to build. Thank you.

The Node World

by BurkeZ 04/22/2026

The Node World! The Node World, aside from the ZiZZiSTUDiO portal, is my first "major launch!" The Node World is a creative, interactive HTML5 application built using PHP, Socket.io and Node.js. I started this project in my plan to join the "indie web movement." When I started to think about what I wanted to do for my "first project," I was instantly brought to a few main concepts: -- This needs to be ad-free and focused on privacy. -- This needs to not involve "doom-scrolling." -- It needs to be different, and cool, and sophisticated. In the early 2000's, during my exploration of the Internet, I stumbled across a Flash application hosted on Newgrounds.com, called "World of Words." Since the death of Flash, World of Words died, and the community decided to "live on" through a Discord server. That was when I knew - an HTML5 environment like World of Words is what the Internet needed again. There is no scrolling through a feed - there is only navigating through a 2D world. There are no statuses to like, algorithms to get stuck inside of, or popularity contests. There is only user uploaded photos, artwork and literature, and several methods of achieving them. The Node World is an endless, multi-user, interactive canvas that allows users to upload photos, including their artwork, write literature in short form or long form, draw and post doodles with an HTML5 drawing tool, and create static HTML pages with inline JavaScript. Everything that is created by a user is a "world object." These world objects, whether an uploaded photo, or a full blog entry, become physical 2D objects that are placed on a canvas where things can be dragged around in real-time, moved, arranged like a collage, and locked. Only the original creator of the object can lock, unlock or delete their work. If they choose to leave it unlocked, any connected user can freely start to move and place it elsewhere, but cannot lock or delete the object. The only exception is for moderators and world staff. Inside the world, under the canvas, is an IRC style chatroom, which lives in the "Social Panel." This social panel is not only where the real-time chat lives, but also contains an environment for editing your profile, viewing yours/other profiles, and reading blog posts. There really is quite a lot to this application, and a pre-release Android app is available for download, however, both desktop and mobile websites function beautifully, and offer no limited capabilities. Anything you can do on the computer, can be achieved on the mobile interface. In the next few weeks, I should be able to launch the pre-released app (for download on the .NET website) on the Google PLay Store, however, Apple's AppStore is still unavailable with an estimated completion date still being determined, however, I do hope it's not too far away. If you'd like to take a peak and learn more, please visit: https://www.theworldnode.net/ - this is the information hub, and also where blog posts and artwork uploads are curated for a "public view" (nothing like how the world displays them). https://www.theworldnode.com/ - this is the actual portal into the world, where you can login to your existing account, create a new account, or preview the world in "Guest Mode."
