Hello and welcome aboard!

Hi there, my name is Burke Zizzi. As you may have guessed, I am the creator of ZiZZiSTUDiO. I am not simply the owner, however, I am the web developer too! At a very young age, I started to explore the Internet. Naturally, I became fascinated, and not just by using it, but also how it worked! In 5th grade, I started writing basic HTML and CSS to build local web pages, and from there, everything skyrocketed. In high school, I was (what you'd call in those days) a full-stack web developer.

In my early 20's, I took a break and stopped following the "new technologies." I wasn't a big fan of where Facebook was going, and Facebook paved the way for the rest of the Internet. It went from a cool place to post updates and chat with your friends -- to a giant corporation squeezing out every dollar they can by selling information and shoving ads down throats. It felt like a good time to ditch the Internet, along with a handful of my own personal life-issues getting in the way of things.

Recently, I learned about the indie web design movement, and I instantly wanted to hop right back into it! Ironically, I've owned ZiZZiSTUDiO (with one or two registration lapses) since 2012! I never did too much with it, other than a few side-projects, but I had always used it for my personal email. I fired it back up, started putting together a little blog website, and also exploring different indie-outlets that are popping around the web right now! I'm very excited to be a part of this!

Well - I'm glad you asked! Primarily, ZiZZiSTUDiO will be a place for my literature and writing, my artwork, and my various web projects. Currently, I have one main project I am working on, and that is soon to be released under web app projects! Most of what you will find in bulk-quantities is writing. Along with web design, I've always been a writer - whether it be poetry, writing philosophical ideas, or posting opinions about politics, spirituality and world events/news related topics.

However, I do still from time to time, create various styles of art. I love making little doodles, pencil and pen drawings, holiday/birthday cards for family and friends, and a few different types of digital art. I am hoping to build a nice little showcase here, and possibly open up account registration so other people can contribute if they'd like to! But that will be ages away - for now, this is just my little hub/portfolio to display some of the things I like to make in my free time. Maybe you'll enjoy them!

Well, as you've likely gathered from the passage above, I don't partake in major social media. I don't have a Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X or TikTok account to follow. I have a small little Neocities page I am currently working on building, and I am also a fan of bliish and SpaceHey! As for social media, that's really about all I have, other than Snapchat which I use for a communication tool.
